When you use window film, especially Diplomats Window Film, you can block out as much as 90% of infrared heat and 80% of solar heat by causing it to bounce off of the glass and out away from the building. Diplomats Window Film can translate into a savings of one ton of air conditioning for every 100 square feet of glass that is filmed. Without film, regular glass will allow the heat to pass through to the interior spaces, where it then naturally accumulates.
